6 headings · 39 six-digit codes · World Customs Organization Harmonized System
HS code 95 toys, games and sports gear share one customs chapter with festive items, fishing tackle and fairground rides. This page shows what each heading covers and how to pick the right code.

The other 22 are spread across the remaining 5 headings, running from 9503 to 9508. The chapter sits in Section XX, Miscellaneous Manufactured Articles, alongside 2 other chapters.

HS code 95 toys and the goods beside them
Customs offices use the Harmonized System to name every traded product with a code. The first two digits give the chapter. Chapter 95 is the home of toys, games and sports requisites, plus the parts and accessories that go with them.
The goods in this chapter are made for play, leisure and sport. A doll, a pool table, a Christmas ornament, a golf ball and a roller coaster all end up here. They look very different, but they share one idea: people use them for fun.
Each heading in the chapter has its own page with the full six-digit list. This page gives you the map, so you can find the right heading first.
Harmonized System chapter 95 headings in plain words
Here is what each heading means in simple terms. Follow the links for the codes inside each one.
- 9504: video game consoles, billiards, playing cards, coin-operated games and casino tables.
- 9506: sports and outdoor games equipment, from skis and golf clubs to balls, rackets and skates, plus swimming pools.
- 9507: fishing rods, hooks, reels and other line fishing tackle, plus hunting and shooting requisites.
HS code for toys, video game consoles, golf and fishing gear
Most people search for a product, not a heading. These examples show where common items land. Always confirm against the full description on the heading page.
Ordinary toys, dolls, models and puzzles go to 950300. Playing cards go to 950440. Billiard tables and accessories go to 950420.
Christmas articles go to 950510.
For sports, golf balls go to 950632. For fishing, reels go to 950730.
How to choose the right Chapter 95 code
Start with what the item is built to do. A toy or model for play points to 9503. A console, a card game or a casino table points to 9504. If the item is a festive decoration or a joke article, look at 9505 before you look at toys.
Sports gear and rides can be confused. Heading 9506 covers equipment that people use to play sport, and it also covers swimming pools and paddling pools. Heading 9508 covers whole attractions, such as carousels, water rides and travelling theatres.
Heading 9507 has a clear boundary. Decoy birds that belong to heading 9208 or 9705 are not classed here.
Some items are not in this chapter at all. Furniture and lamps belong in Chapter 94. Many other small goods are in Chapter 96. Where a description ends in n.e.c., it is a catch-all, so check the named codes before you use it.
If you are still unsure, try the HS code classifier, then read the heading page for the final wording.
